What to Expect on the Wenatchee River

Wenatchee River (May – July) All Day River trip many class three to four rapids.

Your river trip meets at Cashmere City Park in Cashmere, WA. See Map.  After signing in, we suit up into wetsuits, booties, and our exclusive paddle jackets.  It is a good idea to wear swimming clothes under your street clothes to facilitate changing.  If you choose not to wear a wetsuit, you can wear clothes of wool, pile/fleece, polypropylene or capilene or any material that dries quickly.  Please avoid cotton and denim. After suiting up, we take a ride in a van or bus to the put-in, at Icicle Creek in Leavenworth or Peshastin depending on water levels.

We put on life jackets and the head guide of the float will give a talk to us there.  After that, we split up into our custom designed SOTAR rafts that hold 6 to 8 guests and a professional guide.  After doing many class three rapids on the river, we pull over and have a much deserved drink and light snack.  We continue on down through several more splashing, exciting rapids with lots of time in between for water fighting to Cashmere City Park.

Waiting for you is your deli-style or BBQ lunch, vehicles and dry clothes.

We may take a short drive to a residential park to have our well-deserved meal. The meal consists of boneless marinated BBQ chicken or garden burger, home-style potato salad, baked beans, corn, chips, fruit, dessert and drinks. The deli-style meal has every thing except the BBQ chicken by providing you all the ingredients you need to make your own garden-variety sandwich. It is served with the same extras as the BBQ chicken meal. This trip takes approximately four to five hours from start to finish.  Prices range from $65.00 to $75.00 for adults plus 8% WA tax.   Group rates are available and other meal options. Ask about youth and group discounts.
